NEW GLOUCESTER – Jim Gallant, known for his rich vocals and mastery of fingerstyle guitar, will perform in concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Village Coffee House.

As a member of the Seacoast Guitar Society, Gallant was a featured artist in its first fingerstyle compilation CD. In a review of his “River Watch” CD, Good Times music magazine’s Ron Hart writes: “Gallant ranks among some of the finest tunesmiths in the Northeast.”

Gallant’s latest CD, “Living the Dream,” on the Outer Green Label, is a collection of funny and heartfelt stories featuring some of the area’s finest musicians.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children. The Village Coffee House is in the First Congregational Church at Route 231 and Gloucester Hill Road. For more information, call 926-3161.
