Dear Sun Spots: I have a problem that is unique to me but am hoping that you and/or readers can help me.
I live in rural Leeds and commonly see deer around my home. The problem is the one with the broken leg. Mister Deer doesn’t seem to venture far from our home, so we add extra goodies around the deer salt block, like apples and pears. He seems to be a healthy deer except for the dragging right front leg. Please tell me there is someone who will come to my home, tranquilize this deer, and take him away to make him better. To date, all I know is that the only humanitarian act is to shoot Mister Deer before the coyotes meet him and he cannot run fast enough. I know there are a lot of deer in Maine but this is Mister Deer, and I want to help him.
Please call me with a solution at 449-1968.
I hope you can respond quickly as I think this is an urgent situation and others may have a similar situation. Thank you. – Susan in Leeds.
