BANGOR (AP) – A 51-year-old Bangor man is in jail facing an elevated aggravated assault charge following the shooting of a woman in what police call a drug deal gone bad.
Albion Curtis is in Penobscot County Jail, where he’s also facing a charge of robbery with a firearm.
Police say his arrest Monday followed a shooting that occurred after a man and 28-year-old woman went to Curtis’ Bangor apartment to buy drugs Friday night.
Police say a fight broke out and the woman was shot in the abdomen. Her wound is not considered life-threatening. Police aren’t releasing her name.
Curtis is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
