PARIS – The theme for this year’s One Book One Community program is “Making a Difference; People, Organizations, Communities,” and the one book chosen to be read is “Here If You Need Me” by Kate Braestrup.

Books are on sale at 12 locations around the Oxford Hills. The kick-off date for the book discussions and programs will be at 7 p.m. Monday, March 3, at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. The author will speak in the forum.

“Here If You Need Me” is the author’s memoir of her journey to a new life after the death of her husband, as well as an account of the experiences of being the chaplain for the Maine Warden Service. She speaks about these topics in her public presentations.

Following the kick-off, there will be discussions of her book in 10 locations throughout the Oxford Hills during March. There will also be programs on topics related to the book and the theme on the next four Monday evenings, March 10, 17, 24 and 31.
