One of my very bright stepsons recently reminded me that when the United Kingdom holds an election, they set aside six weeks for it, then get on with their lives.

Like many other citizens, I am interested in the electoral process. But why does it have to last so long? We have been bombarded with all the ill-equipped egotists since early in 2007.

I really believe that my cat knows more about foreign policy than they do.
