POLAND – Poland Regional High School’s fourth-annual youth baseball clinics begin today and run for three weekends in February.

Clinics will be devoted to the specialty areas of pitching and catching. This year the PRHS softball staff will be joining the clinics, as well, to instruct softball player interested in learning how to pitch and catch.

Each session consists of baseball/softball instruction, skills and drills on the basic fundamentals of pitching (throwing mechanics as an emphasis) and catching.

Players who do not currently pitch or catch can still benefit from learning the proper throwing techniques promoted during these clinics.

Please be on time (10 minutes early) for your scheduled session. Proceeds are non-refundable and benefit fundraising efforts for PRHS baseball/softball.

In addition to this afternoon, other clinic dates are Sunday, Feb. 10 and Sunday, Feb. 24.

Session times are 1 to 2:15 p.m. for grades 3 and 4, 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. for grades 5 and 6, and 4 to 5:15 p.m. for grades 7 and 8.

Please contact Dave Jordan at 754-9346 or davejot@aol.com for any clinic-related questions.
