Why do the media so often distort or over analyze things?

One reporter on television stated that if the Patriots won the next three of four Super Bowls, it would be the best franchise “ever.”

Reminds me of 2002 when the Rams’ Kurt Warner stated he wanted to be the first quarterback with five Super Bowl rings. What happened?

Another TV station had Bill Parcells (best coach “ever”) comparing the 2008 Patriots with the 1972 Miami Dolphins and other great teams. The biggest difference between those two teams is that members of the Dolphins team won their Super Bowl rings. You have to win on the field, not in the media.

The real story for the 2008 season is that the N.Y. Giants won 11 straight road games – the longest road win streak in a season, ever. In today’s format, that cannot and will not be broken, ever. The season records of the Giants’ playoff opponents was a combined 55-12, the highest winning percentage “ever” for a Super Bowl team to go up against. The Giants beat the NFC’s No. 1-, 2- and 4-ranked teams. That has never been done, ever.

We have witnessed the most remarkable playoff run, ever.
