BRIDGTON – Selectmen have notified voters of a special town meeting taking place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the Municipal Complex.

They’ll vote on whether to relieve the Bridgton Recreation Advancement Group from its verbal commitments, including the completion of $450,000 in fundraising. The relief will be provided prior to the selectman making any contributions to the group from annual allocations from the Moose Pond Land Trust Fund, provided that the contributions are secured by a first mortgage to the town on the recreational fields, as provided by a town vote last year.
