Books to be topic
FARMINGTON – The Sandy River Valley Chapter, Maine Genealogy Society, will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Farmington Public Library. Kathy Lynch will talk about the pilgrimage books compiled by Ben and Natalie Butler. There are seven volumes, and each is filled with information about a different area of early Farmington. Anyone interested in genealogy is welcome.
Benefit supper
LIVERMORE – A spaghetti supper will be held from 5:30 to l7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at the North Livermore Baptist Church to benefit the youth group’s trip to Colorado to attend the national gathering in July. Those wishing may bring a Valentine cake to be judged for a prize. Suggested donation will be $5. For more information, call 897-5377.
March dance
FARMINGTON – The annual March Fest Dance will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday, March 15, at the Farmington Elks Lodge. Tickets are $10 a person. Music will be provided by Borderline. Tickets are available at Good Times Unlimited and Ron’s Market in Farmington and Dryden. The event is sponsored by the Shiretown Riders Snowmobile Club.
