Free luncheon

FARMINGTON – The Old South First Congregational Church will serve its monthly free community luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9. The menu will include roast pork with applesauce, mashed potatoes and gravy, mixed vegetables, rolls and butter and chocolate cake.

Delivery service will be available in the Farmington area. Call the church office at 778-0424 during the week or the church kitchen at 778-4438 on the morning of the luncheon if a meal needs to be delivered.

Scout volunteers

FARMINGTON – Girl Scouts from the Farmington and Rumford areas invite adults age 18 or older who may be interested in becoming a Girl Scout volunteer to meet from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 2, for a series of workshops titled “Pamper Yourself.”

Some of the workshops will include hair care, hand care and exercising and end with an ice cream sundae. Those attending, at UMF’s Ricker Hall, will learn about the volunteer opportunities in Girl Scouting.
