LEWISTON – The Lewiston CareerCenter announces the February workshop schedule and speakers for the Unemployed Professionals Group. The center hosts the group Mondays (unless otherwise noted) from 1-4 p.m. The group provides support, resources and networking opportunities for unemployed and underemployed professionals while providing employers with a talent pool from which to recruit and hire.

Feb. 11: “Manage Stress and Enhance Communication Skills,” with Bob LaBrie of Maximum Potential in Gorham.

Feb. 18: No meeting, President’s Day

Feb. 25: “Informational Interviewing” with Amy Jaffey of Heart at Work in Yarmouth

Registration is not required for the Unemployed Professionals Group.

A job club meets at the CareerCenter Mondays from 10 a.m.-noon. Topics vary, but focus on job search strategy and skills, networking and information sharing. Registration is not required for the Job Club.

Other workshops offered at the CareerCenter include: Job Search Skills; Career Decision Making; On-Line Applications, Interviewing Skills, and Writing a Resume. Call 753-9005 to register for the workshops or for additional information.
