CRAFTSBURY, Vt. – Wilton native David Chamberlain, now based out of Caribou, finished 14th Saturday in the 50-kilometer portion of the TD Banknorth Craftsbury Marathon.

More then 720 skiers competed in the event, which also included a 25K race.

Bates graduate Justin Freeman took second behind Jon Arne Enevoldsen in the men’s 50K, finishing only three seconds off the pace with a time of 2 hours, 32 minutes, 12 seconds.

Chamberlain completed the course in 2:44:05.

Mark Danyla of Auburn was 99th (3:29:50), followed in the pack by Dykstra Eusden of South Paris (106th, 3:32:10), Danny Danforth of Lewiston (113th, 3:36:06), Richard Trafton of Auburn (112th, 3:43:07), Carol Meader of Raymond (143rd, 4:00:33) ane Jane Barron of Kingfield (186th, 4:43:26).

Dorcas Wonsavage, an Olympian formerly of Wilton and now living in Hanover, N.H., finished second in the women’s division and 32nd overall in 2:54:31.

Noah Brautigam of Richmond, Vt., captured the 25K men’s victory in 1:32:26. Among locals, Richard Read of Lewiston was 48th (2:26:25).
