AUBURN – Two New England headliners will perform at the Saturday, Feb. 9, Comedy Night at The Fireside Inn & Suites (formerly the Auburn Inn). The lineup features Mike Cote, Tommy Dunham and host Ellen Moschetto.

The show, presented by Laughing Matters Comedy, is part of a winter series of Saturday night shows at the Fireside Inn.

With impressive showings in the San Fransisco International Comedy Festival and Boston Comedy Festival, Cote is known for his quirky characters and charming persona. He started as an actor and has appeared in the NBC soap opera “Days of Our Lives,” “Real Stories of the Highway Patrol” and several commercials.

Dunham hails from Boston’s South Shore, but for 20 years has toured all over New England to make people laugh. The longtime headliner draws upon his experience as a dad and his own misspent youth for much of his material. His everyman’s persona is a hit with any type of audience – from nursing homes to nursery schools. He has performed at the Comedy Connection (Portland, Boston and Providence), Mohegan Sun (Uncasville, Connecticut), Nick’s Comedy Stop and Giggles.

Moschetto brings a pleasantly offbeat sensibility to the Boston comedy scene. The former co-host of the “Larry Lee Lewis Sports Comedy Hour” on Boston radio, she has also gained notoriety as a “comic-in-residence” at The Comedy Studio in Harvard Square, with performances in the “Girls Go Wild” sketch show and at the annual “Harbor to the Bay” AIDS benefit at the Club Cafe in Boston. Reserved and wry one moment, animated and vivacious the next, Ellen spins a quirky twist to everyday life events.

Showtime is 8 p.m. The Fireside Inn & Suites is at 1777 Washington St. Tickets are $14, $12 with a reservation. For tickets, call 777-1777 or log on to
