SUMNER – Brent and Bonny Barker of Turner are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Kassi L. Barker of Sumner, to Jesse A. Farrar of Sumner, son of Maynard and Pamela Farrar of Sumner.
Miss Barker is a 2004 graduate of Leavitt Area High School and a 2005 graduate of New Hampshire Institute of Therapeutic Arts in Bridgton, with a degree for licensed massage therapy. She also received a degree for equine massage therapist in 2002 from Equissage in Roundhill, Va. She is a horse trainer at Seacoast Farm in Sabattus and is a licensed massage therapist at Family Chiropractic Center in Lewiston. She owns her own horse/rider massage business.
Mr. Farrar is a 2004 graduate of Buckfield Junior/Senior High School and is a 2004 graduate of Oklahoma Horseshoeing School in Purcell, Okla. He owns a horseshoeing business.
A fall wedding is planned.
