PORTLAND – Blue Man Group will bring its “How to be Megastar Tour 2.1” to the Cumberland County Civic Center at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19.

Tickets, $49.50 and $75 (subject to additional fees and service charges), are still available. They may be purchased at the Cumberland County Civic Center box office, by calling 775-3458 and online at www.ticketmaster.com.

The show embraces the rules, rituals and raw excitement of the arena rock concert. “After ordering a tongue-in-cheek, ‘how-to’ manual on becoming a rock star, Blue Man Group is joined by an eight-piece band and, subsequently, takes us through, step-by-step and song-by-song, every head-bobbing, fist-pumping moment of a real concert with constant hi-tech interaction with their audience,” said executive tour producer Paul J. Emery III of Emery Entertainment.

“We are thrilled,” he said, “to add some additional show elements, including innovative new technology including state-of-the-art video screens, new vocalists and the tour debut of the hit single ‘Rock and Go!'”

San Francisco-based multimedia artist Mike Relm will open the show with a mix of spins, scratches, music and video clips in a mash-up of pop culture.
