LEWISTON – Nick Hawk put on a show Saturday at Androscoggin Bank Colisee, earning his ninth shutout of the season as the Lewiston Jr. Maineiacs Squirt White team upended Squirt Orange, 2-0.

Corinne Laberge opened the scoring for White with an assist from Bobby Chabot. Owen McCarthy netted the second goal, his 30th of the season, assisted by Andrew Loisel and Zach Guimond.

Hawk received stellar support from his defensive corps of Steve Hammerton, Jody Cabral, Alex Morgan and Jacob Wall.

Opposing netminder Trent Spaulding was outstanding, turning aside numerous other White opportunities to keep Orange in the game.

The two teams will square off again this Sunday, Feb. 17, in the opening Squirt game of the annual Lions Tournament.
