FARMINGTON – Berry is a sweet and loving bobtail cat said Franklin County Animal Shelter staff. She gets along with other cats and she is good with dogs.

Berry tends to lounge about the lobby desk at the shelter, waiting for someone to give her a head scratch, said staff, and she has so much love to give.

She would make a great pet for any home. She may be a little shy at first, but after the first cuddle she’s fine.

New dogs at the shelter include a long-haired cream dog with a saddle, male, maybe a mix of husky, German Shepherd and/or Keeshond.

A Web site is available to earn points for the shelter in a competition between other shelters/humane societies. The winner will get a $1 million makeover and 19 others will get at least $5,000 to enhance their shelter.

The shelter would like to add an isolation room for sick or injured animals if it were to win a prize. The Web site is www.zootoo.com and the shelter staff asks residents to visit it and vote for them.
