Chapel open

LEWISTON – The St. Patrick’s Church Chapel will be open every Friday until Easter Sunday. The chapel is located at the corner of Blake and Walnut streets. The hours will be noon to 2 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.

All are invited to spend some time in quiet prayer and meditation.

OES to meet

LISBON FALLS – Pioneer Chapter 11, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Ancient York Masonic Hall, Route 196. Members will honor the stations of chaplain, marshal and organist.

The service project this month will be collection of nonperishable food to be donated to the Good Shepherd Food-Bank.

Members will also collect items for love bags for abused women and children. Refreshments will follow the meeting. All members of the order are invited.

Young at Heart

AUBURN – The Young at Heart Fellowship will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the Court Street Baptist Church. The business meeting will be followed by devotions led by Pastor David Clark.

There will be a food sale at 10:30 a.m. and during the lunch hour.

Members should bring a bag lunch, place setting and an article for the door prize. Cherry desserts will be furnished. Clark will give a report of his mission trip to Indonesia. All seniors are invited.

Board to meet

LEWISTON – The CDS-Androscoggin County Governing Board will meet from 8:15 to 10:15 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at Child Development Services, 1567 Lisbon St. All interested parents and community providers are welcome. Persons requiring special accommodations may call 795-4022 to make arrangements.

Seniors trip

LEWISTON – Lewiston Senior Citizens will make a six-day trip to Branson, Mo., May 1 through 6, and there are a few places left. For more information, call Bert at 786-2305 or Dube’s Travel and ask for Jolice or Terry at 784-2916. The trip is open to anyone interested.
