BRUNSWICK – Maine native Kate Schrock is a self-made pianist/singer/songwriter who has produced and released six acclaimed albums. Schrock blends roots rock, jazz, gospel and reggae with a pop angle, creating dark, emotional textures that mesmerize the listener. Her music is infused with stories of truth, beauty and spiritual struggles. Critics have likened Schrock to Aimee Mann and Joni Mitchell, with a bit of Rickie Lee Jones thrown in for good measure. Schrock tours nationally and has shared the stage with Taj Mahal, Stephen Stills and Sophie B. Hawkins.

Richmond-based Lynn Deeves honed her stage skills touring New England and Canada as a “chicksingah” in high energy rock bands in her earlier years. She has three independent solo CDs and has performed with Cheryl Wheeler, Janis Ian and Ellis Paul. Deeves’ original style is a hybrid of folk, gospel and blues rock. Her music has been described as “empowered” and “equal parts power and peace.”

Don’t miss the opportunity to catch these two Maine Artists on the same bill for one night only, in the intimate setting of the theater at the Frontier Café, Theater and Gallery, Fort Andross Mill No. 3, Brunswick.
