LEWISTON – The YWCA of Central Maine is registering swimmers for lessons, which are offered Monday through Thursday morning, afternoon and evening and Saturday morning.
Classes are available for all ages and abilities, 6 months old to adult. Classes may be a half hour or an hour long, depending on level.
Sessions will begin on Monday, Feb. 25, and will be eight weeks in duration. The cost of the session is $69 for hour lesson and $89 for 1 hour lesson. Participants of the YWCA swim lesson program must be members of the YWCA.
Basic membership to the YWCA is good for a year and allows members to participate in programs on a pay-as-you-go basis. Basic membership fees are child, up to age 12, $30; youth, age 13 to 17, $35; adult, age 18 to 59, $55; senior citizen, age 60+, $45. The YWCA also offers package memberships to include unlimited access to YWCA programs.
Private swim lessons are available by appointment. The cost is $25 a half-hour session. Participant must be a member of the YWCA. Private lessons are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. To book a private lesson, call the YWCA.
