Bible seminar

MEXICO – A revelation of hope Bible prophecy seminar will open at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at Mountain Valley Middle School. All programs will begin at 7 p.m. The schedule is as follows:

Friday, Feb. 22, “Hope when the world is spinning out of control.”

Saturday, Feb. 23, “Bible prophecy’s most daring prediction.”

Sunday, Feb. 24, “Revelation’s biggest surprise.”

Monday, Feb. 25, “Will you worship the image of the beast.”

Tuesday, Feb. 26, “Revelation’s untapped source of spiritual power.”

Skating party

RUMFORD – An adults only skating party will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at the Hosmer Field Hockey Rink. There will be free hot chocolate and some free skates.

A family skating night will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Dare Park Rink. There will be an outdoor fire and free refreshments as well as some free skates.

Rinks and shacks are open at 1 p.m. daily during vacation, weather and ice permitting. For more information, contact the Parks Department at 364-7758.

Society meeting

MEXICO – The Mexico Historical Society will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, in the Calvin Lyons Meeting Room at the Town Hall.

A hot dish supper will precede the meeting. It is dues time, and at the last meeting it was voted to increase yearly dues to $7. Membership is open.

The museum will be closed until April. Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

Class luncheon

MEXICO – Members of the Stephens High School Class of 1949 will meet for luncheon at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at the Far East on Main Street.
