LISBON FALLS – The Lisbon Rotary welcomed representatives from the Mu Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Teachers’ Society on Jan. 29.

Adelle Silverman, Barbara Randall and Jeanne Read provided information about the society’s community service endeavors with the Read-To-Me Project.

DKG members, with the assistance of community partners, distribute books for infants and children at hospitals and local libraries.

According to the society mission, “books provide vital one-on-one time for you and your infant. Through the sound of your voice and the warmth of you body, your baby will come to think of reading as a pleasurable activity.”

The Lisbon Rotarians presented a donation for the society’s project.
