The third annual Auburn Firefighters’ Ball was held on Feb. 2 at the Hilton Garden Inn of Auburn. The ball is a fundraising event for the Auburn Firefighters’ Children’s Fund. Area merchants donated items that were auctioned off throughout the evening. Nearly 200 firefighters, friends and family were in attendance. More than $3,000 was raised to help children in the community, and $1,400 will go to the Auburn Recreation Department to help provide scholarships for children to attend summer programs.
