GREENE – Robert DeLoss will present his film, “America’s Natural Wonders,” at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 13, and 2 and 7 p.m. Friday, March 14, at the Sawyer Memorial, 371 Sawyer Road.

DeLoss has been giving film lectures since he was 16. A successful secondary school teacher, DeLoss has won numerous awards for his teaching skills.

DeLoss worked his way through college as a radio news reporter and has several years of television experience. His films have been shown in major cities across the country and have been used in the production of feature films for European television.

Parts of his film are being used by airlines to promote travel to South America. He has spent six years on the lecture circuit for the Audubon Society.

DeLoss spends his summers working with young people on field trips. He has completed 35 years of continuous summer’s service to the young people of the Sioux City area. A graduate of the University of South Dakota, he majored in zoology education. Later he continued at the same institution to receive his master’s degree in geology.

The camera will take the audience on a journey from Hawaii to Maine to explore some of the fascinating sights of “America’s Natural Wonders.”

DeLoss visits Death Valley where travelers may experience the depths of an ancient ocean that has long ago dried up to become one of the driest locations on the planet. An aerial view of Canyonlands National Park is also featured.

Knoxville, Tenn., is another location filmed by DeLoss and the famous azalea drive is featured. The film concludes with Maine’s fall colors and Acadia National Park.
