Diane Gallagher, Abused Women’s Advocacy Project community educator for Oxford County, addressed the weekly Rumford Area Rotary Club meeting recently. Services provided by AWAP include a 24-hour helpline, emergency shelter, transitional services, support and information, advocacy, support groups for women, youth services, community education, school-based dating violence prevention services and a batterer’s education group.
