CONCORD, N.H. (AP) -The Massachusetts man who stole thousands of dollars during three New Hampshire bank robberies last year apologized as he was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Thirty-two-year-old Robert Clark of Turners Falls wept during his sentencing Tuesday and asked that he be given the chance to be a father to his 2-year-old daughter before she becomes a woman.

Clark said he will regret his bank-robbing decisions for the rest of his life.

He pleaded guilty in November to making off with nearly $32,000 by robbing TD Banknorth branches in Keene, Milford and Troy last year.

Authorities said Clark’s willingness to cooperate made prosecutors more receptive to a plea bargain.
