LEWISTON – The Lewiston U14 girls’ hockey team won its division in the recent Lions Tournament at Androscoggin Bank Colisee.

Lewiston won three games in five days to claim the crown.

The week began with a 4-2 triumph over Bridgton Rink Rats. Seven different Lewiston players picked up a point in the game, with Ashley Chase, Tia Rotolico, Erica Lemieux and Natalie Rousseau scoring goals and Paige Fontaine, Erin Hubbard and Kaylee Younk logging the assists.

Morgan Grover and Rachel Kellough connected for Bridgton, with Kayleigh Lepage assisting Grover’s goal.

Brianna Lajoie notched shutouts wins in the final two games of the tournament, 2-0 and 1-0. In the semifinal victory, Younk scored the game-winner from Rotolico and Savannah Shaw. Fontaine also scored with help from Samantha Roy.

Sabrina Lapointe scored the lone goal in the championship round, set up by Fontaine and Tori Couture.
