STRONG – Lola C. Goodwin, 74, of Strong died Friday, Feb. 29, at her daughter’s home in Temple.
She was born Aug. 18, 1933 in Sidney, a daughter of Roy and Freda (Drinkwine) Deming.
She was educated in the schools of Strong. In 1951 she married Clarence Goodwin, Sr., in Phillips. He died March 25, 1995.
She worked for Forster M.F.G. Company in Strong for 45 years, retiring in 1993. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, gardening, plants, traveling, fishing and snowmobiling.
She is survived by her son, Clarence Goodwin, Jr., of West Freeman; two daughters, Valerie Blodgett of Temple and Melanie Haggan of Phillips; two brothers, Frank Deming of Wilton and Roy Deming of Strong; a sister, Celena Libby of Strong; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her twin sister, Polly.
