FARMINGTON – Kinda Lilley of Farmington, a senior at Mt. Blue High School, has been selected to receive the 2008 Principals’ Award, Principal Joseph Moore has announced. The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
Lilley is an outstanding citizen at Mt. Blue High School, said Moore.
Moore said, “She is a high honors student who always demonstrates a good work ethic. She is a young person of strong character who can be counted on to be a positive role model. Kinda is positive and approaches everyday challenges as opportunities to demonstrate her enthusiasm for learning.
“She has consistently taken the most challenging academic courses offered at Mt. Blue High School and demonstrated high achievement. She is a young person with solid goals to further her learning beyond high school and will be successful in all of her endeavors. I’m pleased to honor Kinda with the MPA Principal’s Award for Mt. Blue High School in 2008.”
Lilley and Moore will attend an Honors Luncheon on Saturday, April 5, at the Spectacular Events Center in Bangor.
