AUBURN – Bert Dutil, liaison to the Lewiston Auburn Veterans Council, is announcing a meeting of the council at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 6, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars facility, 588 Minot Ave.

Chairman Willie Danforth said, “We have a full agenda, with many exciting events for 2008. The unveiling of the 15th Memorial Stone is just one of the events the council will discuss.”

Dutil was one of the founders and chairman of the Lewiston Auburn Veterans Council and provided the vision, leadership and perseverance needed to establish the Veterans’ Memorial Park in Lewiston.

All veterans’ organizations in Androscoggin County, registered with the state as nonprofit tax-exempt organizations, are invited to join the council.
