“Would you cheat on your spouse if you were guaranteed to never get caught?”

“Do you think that you are your parent’s favorite child?”

“Have you ever fantasized about having sex with someone else other than your partner?”

These are just some questions proposed by the show The Moment Of Truth. People sign up for this show, take a lie detector test with some very personal questions, and get their results on national television. The show challenges the contestant to tell the truth in front of all their family and the whole nation at once.

I personally think that this show is entertaining, yet horrible. Who, in their right mind would go on national television and take a lie detector test, and then have their family and friends find out in front of the whole nation that they were lying? I don’t understand why anyone would want to do this. If you are caught lying, you could be in some deep trouble with your family. It could even tear relationships apart forever!

Even though it can do some real damage, this show can be quite entertaining. I think that it’s fun to sit and watch a show that comes up with the most random questions and the person HAS to answer them without lying. In a way, I guess you could say that it is kind of a “Ha Ha, that was a really smart choice to come on this show” moment. I would have some sympathy for these people, but I just can’t. They knew what they were signing up for when they did it, so they should be able to take whatever gets thrown their way.
