RANGELEY – The wedding of Kristin J. Sawyer and Lance E. Allaire was held Sept. 8 at the historic Union Log Church in Oquossoc. Ivy Berry officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Allaire is the daughter of Robert Sawyer and Kathy Raithel of Auburn. Mr. Allaire is the son of Ron and Sandra Allaire of Sanford.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin gown and carried a bouquet of white roses.

Kimberly Sawyer, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Cara DeRosa, Marlene Fronske and Elizabeth Knauer, friends of the bride, and Stephanie Fowler, cousin of the bride. Flower girls were Grace and Anna Beaudet.

Lee Allaire performed the duties of best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Jeff St. Laurent, Travis Bezio and Craig Beaulieu, friends of the bridegroom, and David Jowett, cousin of the bridegroom.

The Apache wedding blessing was read by Sean Callahan, friend of the couple. Susan and Victor Borkko played the flute and the guitar for the ceremony.

A reception followed at Bald Mountain Camps at Mooselookmeguntic in Oquossoc.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Roger Williams University and a master’s degree in social work from the University of New England. She is employed as a social worker at Westbrook Pointe Apartments in Westbrook.

The bridegroom received a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and anthropology from the University of Southern Maine. He is employed by a family owned construction company, Ron Allaire Construction in Springvale.

The couple honeymooned at Disney World in February. They reside in North Waterboro.
