SABATTUS – Burnt Meadow Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, has announced the 2008 DAR Good Citizenship medal recipients from two local high schools.
Sierra Guay has been selected as the Lisbon High School recipient. She is the daughter of Julie Guay and resides in Lisbon Falls. Guay is a member of the National Honor Society, the Interact Club and SADD.
She has participated in drama, the math team and the Quill and served as manager of the girl’s basketball team. Her future plans are undecided. Guay said she enjoys staying involved in as may things as possible.
Ashley Paradis has been selected as the winner from Oak Hill High School in Wales. She is the daughter of Bill Paradis and Randy and Teresa Hutchins and lives in Litchfield. Paradis plays field hockey and enjoys spending time with friends.
She is involved in Future Business Leaders of America and the Oak Hill Legislative Assembly and is class treasurer. She is not sure of a career field.
The chapter will honor recipients at a noon luncheon on Saturday, April 12, at the home of Corley Byras.
