FARMINGTON – More than 150 participants of Girl’s Talk and Teen Voices, the school-based mentorship program that has chapters in Kingfield, Phillips, Strong, Stratton and Wilton, recently attended a closed performance of “Oliver” by the Sandy River Players at Alumni Theater, University of Maine at Farmington.

Girl’s Talk and Teen Voices pair girls in grades five through eight with student leaders from the University of Maine at Farmington and women role models in the SAD 58 and SAD 9 communities.

The program seeks to raise aspirations, enhance self-esteem, emphasize personal responsibility and decision-making, foster inquiry and create an environment that encourages a strong commitment to the community.
