LEWISTON – A pancake breakfast will be held from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Sunday, March 16, in the Holy Cross Church Hall, Lewiston to benefit a teen mission to Mississippi.
Tickets are $5 for adults; $3, chi ldren under 12; under 5, free.
Tickets can be purchased from students attending this year’s mission or at the door.
The menu will include pancakes, French toast, eggs, sausage, juice, milk, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.
Thirty-two seniors from St. Dominic Regional High School will travel to Mound Bayou, Miss., to work with the less fortunate.
The seniors will give up their April vacation, travel by school bus and provide service to the St. Gabriel Center. They will live in tents for a week and learn to sacrifice luxuries they are used to having every day.
Those who are no able to attend the breakfast but would still like to support their efforts may mail donations to Mission Mississippi, St.Dominic Regional High School, 121 Gracelawn Ave., Auburn, ME 04210.
Members of the senior class making the trip will be Jonathan Albert, Richard Barrett, Celia Blancato, Dylan Blanchette, Nicole Bradbury, Ann Butts, William Colasante, Alexander Cornelio, Anna Dean, William Ellis II, William Emerson, Katelyn Eslinger, Evan Gove, Danielle Guerin.
