Central Maine Federal Credit Union of Lewiston has donated $500 toward Special Olympics Maine. Credit unions in the state pool their donated dollars through the insurance trust. The funds are given to Special Olympics Maine. Some go back to local areas and are used for new events, programs, Camp Tall Pines, equipment and for scholarships for those athletes who cannot afford to attend games on their own. Denise Nowinski, left, of Tricorp FCU accepted the donation from Vicki L. Stuart, CEO of Central Maine FCU.
