LEWISTON – Mystery for Hire will bring back one of its most popular shows in a St. Patrick’s Day celebration of “Death With Father” Saturday, March 15, at Marco’s Restaurant.

Unlike a more formal show where actors perform on a stage, murder-mystery dinner theater is performed among the guests throughout the entire dining room and between courses of the meal.

“Death With Father” highlights the antics of Father Patrick O’Sullivan who is hosting a bingo fundraiser for his church and orphanage. “However, things don’t go exactly as planned when some real estate investors and some underlings from the underworld come to pay the priest a visit,” said Dan Marois, who with his wife, Denise, owns and operates Mystery for Hire.

As part of the show, audience members play a game or two of bingo between scenes and the courses of Marco’s buffet dinner.

Cast members are Dan and Denise Marois of Poland Spring, Julie Poulin of Monmouth, Brian Files of Gardiner, Chuck Waterman of Gorham, Bob Hazelton of North Yarmouth and Kathleen Nation of Monmouth.

Doors open at 6:15 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $36.95 per person, which includes the mystery show, full buffet, tax and gratuity. For reservations, visit Marco’s at 12 Mollison Way, or call 783-0336.

Mystery shows will continue through the spring with a performance of “Lights! Camera! Murder!” on April 12 and “Marriage Can Be Murder” on May 3. For more info on Mystery for Hire performances, go to mysteryforhire.com.
