LEWISTON – The Jesus Party Pentecostal Kids’ Church has invited inner-city children age 5 and up to join in a weekend Easter celebration.

Children will explore why Good Friday is so good at 6 p.m. Friday, March 21. Ministry director Doug Taylor will share a children’s sermon, using objects and a flannel graph as part of his lesson.

The Glory Bound singers will perform, a meal will be served and traditional Easter eggs, candy and goodies will be given to all in attendance.

On Saturday, March 22, at 5 p.m. children will see a film inspired by the Dickens’ Christmas classic. “An Easter Carol” Veggie Tales film explains why millions of Christians around the world celebrate Easter past, present and future. Children will have snacks and win door prizes.
