AUGUSTA (AP) – Replicas of Joshua Chamberlain’s eight-page report on the Battle of Gettysburg, the 1820 Penobscot Treaty and an 1863 Civil War draft poster are among items for sale through the Maine State Archives’ online store.

The online store features copies of photos, maps, letters and documents. Nicole Ladner, director of special projects, says it also gives people the ability to order custom-printed reproductions of archive holdings.

The online store’s launch on Monday came two days after Maine Day, the anniversary of Maine’s entrance into the Union as the 23rd State on March 15, 1820.

Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap says people everywhere can now enjoy “unique pieces of Maine history.” The archive holds more than 20,000 maps, trademarks and photographs.
