Bingo postponed

AUBURN – The Auburn Middle School basket bingo, scheduled for March 30 at the Lewiston Elks Lodge, has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. The PTO is working to reschedule the event at the same venue for a later date. For more information, contact the Auburn Middle School PTO. Refunds are available for purchased ticket.

Art club program

AUBURN – The Auburn Art Club will meet at 2 p.m. Monday, March 24, at the High Street Congregational Church.

Yolande Gay, a healing arts practitioner, will present a program on “The Colorful World of Intuitive Perception.” She will discuss the way the unconscious communicates and how to access intuitive knowing.

Lillian Coombs, chairwoman, will be joined by Jean Hathorn, Donna Manson and Kim Lidstone as hostesses for the planning, preparation and presentation of the meeting.

Support speaker

LEWISTON – “Electromagnetic Interference” will be the topic of a presentation set for the Thursday, March 27, meeting of the Central and Western Maine Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator Support Group.

Speaker will be Bob Thomas, who will discuss how electromagnetic interference can affect ICDs.

The support group is for individuals who have an ICD. Family members and other support persons are also welcome. The meeting provides a forum for discussion regarding experiences with ICD and will present learning opportunities not only about living with the devices, but about cardiac health issues.

The meeting will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. in Conference Room I on the lower level of the 12 High Street Medical Office Building adjacent to CMMC.

Public forum

BRUNSWICK – Spectrum Generations has announced that Friday, March 28, a public forum will be held at Bowdoin College to gather public opinion on how the organization can better serve the future needs of older and disabled adults and their families in the communities of Brunswick, Harpswell and in Sagadahoc County.

Spectrum Generations is an area agency on aging, an independent nonprofit organization.

Teen games

Seniors trips

SABATTUS – The Sabattus Seniors have a few seats left for the following two trips: Swing with Spring, Middleton, Mass., for Mark Verselli, impressionist, Thursday, April 17, and Washington, D.C., May 15 to 20.

Bridge play

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on March 18 were: first, Jan and Vern Arey; tie second/third, Patricia Garcia and David Lock and Mary Leahey and Luke Merry.

Winners at Schooner Estates in Auburn on March 19 were: first, Rosemarie Goodwin and Roger Briggs; second, Luke Merry and Claire Lyons.
