TURNER – Mountain Valley High School, Central Maine Community College and University of Maine at Farmington product Shawn Spadea clinched the scoring title in the Leavitt Area Men’s Basketball League.

Spadea averaged 26.5 points per game while leading his Ben Alpren squad to the No. 1 seed in the playoffs, which begin tonight and continue through April 3 in a double-elimination format.

Second through seventh among the league scoring leaders were Dave St. Germain, Aaron St. Pierre, Jon Wallingforf, Josh Morin, Nate Pelletier and Pat Dempsey.

Alpren wrapped up the regular-season title with a 113-88 verdict over Shooters. Eric Canwell led the way with 38 points.

Wallingford hit 12 3-pointers and erupted for 42 points for Run ‘N’ Gun in a 107-77 win over Lloyd’s Land.

In other action, Fitness World topped Ranor, 100-83, and topped Wentworth’s, 87-72; and St. Hilaire edged Wentworth’s, 79-70.
