LEWISTON – The New Hampshire/Maine Chapter of American Mensa will hold an admissions testing session at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 29, at the Lewiston Public Library.
The test, which has not been given in Lewiston since 2006, is used to determine eligibility for the organization – the only qualification for which is evidence of being in the top 2 percent of the general population in intelligence. Mensa is not a “think tank,” and is apolitical. It is primarily a social group, with an intellectual twist.
There are more than 50,000 members in American Mensa ranging in age from 4 to 100. For more information, visit www.nh.us.mensa.org or www.us.mensa.org.
A photo ID is required for the testing session, which is open to anyone over age 14 (minors require parental permission). The fee is $40, payable by cash, check or credit card. The sessions last about 90 minutes.
Anyone interested in taking the exam should contact Nicole Bissonnette at [email protected]. RSVP by Friday, March 28.
