FARMINGTON – Vesques is a sidekick waiting for adoption at the Franklin County Animal Shelter. Staff said he is just plain good company, like all sidekicks.

He likes attention and he also likes his solitude. Staff said he doesn’t go looking for trouble, but he’s no scaredy-cat, either.

New dogs at the shelter include a spaniel/setter mix, collie mix, pit bull mix, rotti/lab mix and beagle mix.

The shelter is looking to improve the safety of the staff as well as the animals and is looking for two-way radios so staff in back rooms can communicate to others if there is an emergency with one of the animals.
