SKOWHEGAN (AP) – A 28-year-old Skowhegan woman is going to prison for three years for having sex with a 14-year-old boy just months after she finished a jail sentence for abusing the same boy.

Jessica Bowring was sentenced Wednesday in Somerset County Superior Court after pleading guilty to two counts of sexual abuse of a minor and two counts of violating conditions of her release.

Bowring was convicted in 2006 of sexual assault and served about nine months in jail. She was prohibited from having contact with the boy after her release, but a prosecutor said Bowring sent the boy more than 4,000 text messages during a three-month period after she got out of jail.
