AUBURN – The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College has announce a new workshop series for small business owners, entrepreneurs and those who want to start their own business.

“Business is an Extreme Sport” (CED 027-01) will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon Thursdays, May 6 through 20. The cost is $125.

The program will be led by Rita Losee, whose achievements – earning a doctorate, climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, completing the Hawaii Ironman, solo through-hiking the 2167-mile Appalachian Trail and owning InpirACTionNow.com Inc. – has given her insights into small business ownership. Losee is the author of “Business is an Extreme Sport.”

Participants will learn how to attract their best customers, how to align business life and personal life, what a success set point is and how to expand beyond it, how to create – and re-create – a vision and how to draft an InspirACTional business plan.
