BATH -The Brunswick Nor’easter Barbershop Chorus will hold an open house/guest night at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, at the Chocolate Church.
A long established barbershop chorus, the Nor’easters recently won a trophy for Most Improved Chorus out of 10 groups in the Northeast District competition held in Nashua, N.H. the Nor’easters also won first place in the VLQ (very large quartet – 8 members).
The Nor’easters is looking for more men, ages 15 and up, to sing barbershop music, started by men harmonizing on street corners and in barbershops in the 1930s.
The ability to read music is not required. For more information, call chorus manager Dick Miller at 644-8849.
