LEWISTON – Mr. and Mrs. John Moore Jr. of Gouldsboro are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Samantha Moore, to Derek Giasson, son of Bill Giasson of Lewiston and Carla Tynes of Texarkana, Ark.
Miss Moore is a 1999 graduate of Sumner Memorial High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation services in 2003 at the University of Maine at Farmington. She is employed at Androscoggin Head Start and Child Care in Auburn.
Mr. Giasson is a 1992 graduate of Edward Little High School and earned his degree as a medical assistant from Andover College in 2007. He is employed at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
The couple resides in Lewiston. A May 30, 2009, wedding is being planned.
