NORTHPORT (AP) – A New Hampshire man has died in a tree-cutting accident in Maine.
Maine State Police say 51-year-old Timothy Dugal of Bow was killed at about 3:30 Wednesday afternoon while cutting down a tree at his vacation home in the midcoast town of Northport.
According to police, Dugal was cutting a damaged tree with a chainsaw when the tree kicked back and struck him in the face. He died at the scene.
Police say Dugal’s 17-year-old son was with him at the time of the accident.
