BOOTHBAY HARBOR (AP) – Entrants vied for bragging rights in events ranging from the codfish relay race to the dory bailing competition as Boothbay Harbor hosted its 35th annual Fishermen’s Festival.

Proceeds from Saturday’s festival are earmarked for the town’s Fishermen’s Memorial, which commemorates mariners lost at sea in the region dating back to the late 1700s. The memorial contains 230 names.

The festival concludes Sunday as 50 to 60 boats take part in the Blessing of the Fleet.
