SANFORD (AP) – Police in Sanford say a 43-year-old bicyclist lost her life when apparently struck by a logging truck at a busy intersection.
Susan Coy of Sanford was dead at the scene of the Monday afternoon accident on Route 202.
Investigators quoted witnesses as saying Coy was hit by a loaded logging truck that left the scene without stopping. Police said the driver may not have known that an accident occurred.
Police said Coy was riding her bike in the wrong lane.
